SSPX Superior General Met Yesterday with the Extremely Problematic, Infamous Child Porn Author Cardinal “Tucho” in the Vatican. Pray for the Best. Plan for the Worst. Okie Trad Opines.

Introduction:

This meeting sadly signals more clampdown by the Vatican, which was expected.  A gigantic sledge hammer continues to be held over the heads of the SSPX, just waiting for the opportunity to split some skulls.

But this is ultimately, in my opinion, a heroic opportunity, despite the high probability it will be yet another gaslighting “dialogue of the deaf” (2013-2014 doctrinal discussions reference).

We can frankly talk yet again in a quiet, formal setting about the doctrinal issues in the congregation once established to deal with doctrinal problems.  That was actually a good measure put in place by Benedict XVI, even though the motive on the conciliar side of the line is to require the SSPX to blindly accept IN TOTO, that is in total, the Council and the Novus Ordo Missae.

Which will never happen.

The Problem is Child Porn Author Tucho Overseeing The New Discussions:

Tucho is led by his heretical mystical sentimentalism and liberalism, while the SSPX is led by reason and the Papal Magisterium condemning modernism and liberalism, specifically the notion of a “natural, universal right to religious liberty.”  It can be in certain circumstances granted as a civil right, but the Council language clearly doesn’t limit religious liberty to this.

No word games or mind games will help Tucho to sit down with the SSPX and literally do what no logical person or theologian has been able to do since the Council, that is square the circle, that is reconcile a list of problematic statements in Vatican II with the pre-conciliar Magisterium or Sacred Tradition.

1+1=1

Even a sympathetic atheist or secular humanist could understand you can’t force a child to believe that 1+1=3, when every mathematics text book up until that point taught them that 1+1=2.  It is not only absurdism, it is psychological cruelty.

Let Bishop Schneider Be on The New Commission.  He was the Vatican diplomat to the Society, in some ways still is, who assessed that the Society’s positions are orthodox and justifiable.

It will boil down to this ultimatum: “So yeah…Pope Leo got back to me. He says you must simultaneously agree in writing that 1+1=2 and 1+1=3, or else if you consecrate more auxiliary bishops to help out old +Fellay and +De Galaretta give confirmations around the globe, so, you know, they don’t drop dead of a heart attack, then you will be excommunicated, and this time the entire SSPX down to every unborn child.”

THAT is now the current  reality.  Unless Tucho miraculously opens his sentimental heart to truly listen to reason, this will end in another “schism” most likely extending across the ENTIRE SSPX.

A Crusade Against Vatican Modernism:

So buckle your belts these next five months. Let’s pray for the discussions. And prepare for the inevitable, to be further ostracized for our fidelity.

(By the way, the so-called Resistance movement, Sedes, and Barnhard-ites are wrong-minded when it comes to the SSPX negotiating with Rome.  Their side will resort to sophistry to falsely argue the Archbishop changed his position towards dealing with Rome before his death.  Yet, they  lost that war of quotes over a decade ago.)

Part of the de facto mission of the SSPX is to help convert modernist Rome back to Tradition by insisting on the immutability of the traditional dogma and doctrine, and showing our willingness to suffer martyrdom to not compromise one little bit to the conciliar errors.   That was always what the Archbishop kept trying to do. He never abandoned that approach.  This bishop saint, this Confessor of the Faith, many times made interventions with Rome.

That is the good fight that keeps unfolding year after year, and the necessity of new bishops only rightfully brings back to light what the fight is over.  To remind everyone once again.

The SSPX cannot nor will not sign any document compromising on THE TRUTH even if Tucho and Leo falsely excommunicate every person who even remotely gives support for the SSPX.  They would rather die a martyrs death.

However, to a great extent because of the SSPX, but also because of the Sunmorum Pontificum movement they helped create, the fact of the Crisis and its traditional remedies are ever more clear in the mind of many, including certain bishops, like Burke, Strickland, Schneider, or Zen.  And there are alliances in the Vatican who share their point of view, even though we now know clearly Leo isn’t even remotely in that camp despite the initial smells and bells coming out since coming out on the balcony.

The Crisis Must Be Fully Addressed by the Vatican, Once and For All:

The people are sick and tired of your banalized liturgies, hippie church music, milquetoast sermons, novel synodality, and effeminate leadership.  Those who deep down want what the traditional Faith represents, who either have understandably fallen away from regular weekly attendance because of the extreme scarcity of proper Catholic churches and Masses, or suffer in nausea in the back pew of the Novus Ordo, especially since the diocesan TLM is now suppressed, want a restoration of Catholic Tradition.  Not only because that would mean a return to sanity and the sacred, but ultimately because it would be a total restoration of the Church currently in ruins.  Any orthodox Catholic truly with a devotion and fidelity to our Catholic tradition would want that.

Just once and for all admit it is not unreasonable nor unacceptable for any Catholic to hold the position that there are contradictions in language in certain documents of Vatican II, and the Novus Ordo, with what was always taught before.  Don’t impose on these good priests, brothers, and sisters (and indirectly the laity) what none of us can in good conscience do in order to be accepted as regularized.

We cannot let our brains be turned into scrambled eggs in order to be accepted.  We cannot nor WILL NOT violate the sanctity of our interior life of faith, even if a gun is put to our head.

Over my dead body, Child Porn Author Tucho.  Not in my household.

Note: what they are requiring of the SSPX (in Toto acceptance to prove “full communion”) IS NOT nor ever HAS BEEN, nor CAN EVER be required by the laity to individually be recognized and treated as Catholics.

Until conciliar Rome becomes intellectually honest about this,  any apparent schism is purely on the side of the Vatican modernists, projecting it back onto the SSPX.

Accept the SSPX AS IS:

Let the SSPX proceed AS IS,  as an approved Apostolic Administration.  To be able to continue its critiques, perhaps, if approved, in a more diplomatic or collegial way which naturally would be an expected shift once regularized.   Consider the case of California Bishop Barron, for example, who accepts them AS IS granting them ordinary jurisdiction in his diocese.  There are other examples.

If the Vatican can now hold the “above ground”(communist) Church in China to be truly Catholic in union with Rome, despite their continued allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party and its heretical positions about the limits of government, abortion, and birth control, then let’s be honest, they certainly can make a similar diplomatic agreement with the SSPX.

It doesn’t take a scholar or mental gymnastics to sit down with a yellow legal pad and write out the parameters. I could do it in 15 minutes.

Allow official mental reservations on key paragraphs and sentences.  A) To basically give an priori assent, in principle assent to what is true in each extremely problematic statement, however ambiguous or contorted is the language, but be allowed to hold and express mental reservations to what appears to be a clear contradiction,  b) to have an a priori, in principle temporary suspension of religious assent (vs the assent of faith) on that language which cannot in good conscience be fully accepted, c) until Rome once and for all finally clarifies and corrects the language with the help of the SSPX (and other Ecclesia Dei Trads), d) with permission to keep giving the same strong critiques but within a more diplomatic framework.

There you go. That literally took me about four minutes.  It isn’t brain surgery.

Moving Forward. Let the Debate Begin:

The first year of the Leo pontificate has shown itself to be a bad omen for us traditionalists.   If Tucho gaslights the SSPX with more implicit threats, imposing compromise, then he and Leo will have created more liturgical and doctrinal war across the Church.   The internet frenzy will endlessly continue year after year.

That will be good for clicks, but not good for souls. Or serotonin levels.

Everybody and their dog will compare and contrast the approach of the SSPX and Tucho.  Everybody will see even more clearly a group that simply wants to be Catholic, to assist the Church, with dishonest modernists hell bent on destroying more of what is left of the Church.

To demonstrate that even more clearly, let this new round of doctrinal discussions be made public, put on YouTube.  And/or the transcript posted online.  Make the great debate transparent for all.

Conclusion:

In all probability no bishops will be allowed.  Then excommunication.  And the era of 1970-2007 all over again, with all the same endless polemics.  In the coming months, one of my prayer intentions will be that doesn’t happen.  But if it does, then so be it.

God’s Will Be Done.
