He had his Allen trial on Thursday. Request for all final evidence, background on witnesses, etc. Now he’ll see the one inch stack of evidence in his file, and not just one page police report summaries. Jury trial set for April 20th. Plea bargaining likely continues.
I expect he still rejects a plea deal for a small amount of jail time and lets his pride get the better of him. As in self sabotage. He’ll go to trial to “prove his innocence,” lose, and wind up in prison. So be it. It will be good for him.
A few times I’ve glanced recently at his FB page for anything else incriminating. Later that day after the hearing, he posted on his otherwise inactive FB page another apparent veiled threat. It was a photo of a serial killer arrested who had 100 skeletons in his closet. He gave no explanation. It was preceded and followed by him posting over and over the exact same photo of himself.
Time to end the denial, fess up and do your time, and then move on. I hope he listens deep down to his conscience. But I’m not holding my breath. Also, how much he shows remorse vs. fights this influences the financial damages down the road in civil court.
What did St. Paul say about lawsuits? To avoid them and reconcile. This I tried to do too many times to count. Per St. Paul, then after you’ve tried your best, bring it before the judge. I like St. Paul, for his straightforward wisdom (divine inspiration).
My purpose in blogging about this is not to harm him in anyway, except to hold him accountable, including illegal threats, or disclose his identity, but rather because it is therapeutic and relevant to the issue of defending the freedom of speech of conservative and Christian commentators (bloggers, podcasters, public speakers) who put themselves out there but get targeted.
Such was the heroic Charlie Kirk who died a martyrs death. It needs to STOP.
