Update: got an email from the senator she can’t talk until after the 1/12 meeting I’m just asking her to answer a couple questions if she disavows the infractions She already had my detailed email Will reserve judgment of her position until she answers. She can view the video below and do a quick Chat GT inquiry if their event was public or private, and if public can they restrict the media filming?

BA Republican Activist Anti-Catholic Rant:

Summary:
1. The organizer went on a 1 and 1/2 minute Anti-Catholic screed literally:
A) comparing the historical Catholic Church in America, at one time, to…drum roll please…an Islamic network of politicized religious terrorist sleeper cells waiting to be activated (seriously, I’m not exaggerating).
B) Said up until the mid 1900’s at Vatican I (um, VI was in 1870) the pope and Catholic Church controlled American politics until “finally the pope relinquished his political power” I blame Oklahoma public education for this one, 49th in the country. Does he understand how American Catholics were once so persecuted by Protestants in government and society they often couldn’t vote, own land, or work in certain occupations?
Or how the KKK once ran Catholics out of town across Oklahoma. My own Irish Catholic American family goes back to Pennsylvania, my great grandfather moving us to Oklahoma right after it became a state to start a lumber company in Okmulgee, who once confronted a KKK meeting on stage to stop persecuting local Catholics, they respected him for that.
C) even saying it was good there was no Catholic president until Kennedy in “1960” (it was actually 1961).
If you were trying to write a scathing screed against Catholics to win an award, it would be difficult to beat this one. Give that man an award for daring to carry on the old timey Oklahoma tradition in 2026 (!) of bashing “papists” as if we are suspicious foreigners who “worship Mary,” and “don’t have a personal relationship with Christ” (if I had a dollar for every time I’ve encountered this in Oklahoma, I’d be a rich man).
Good job Mr. OLD HAM.
C) Told the city wide meeting mostly of seniors what to think and do. Each of the “leaders” told the group “what was the REAL issue.” Everything pre-engineered to meet the private agenda of an “organization” that is mainly one man with a Facebook page, he and his wife friends with a new state senator, and another former state senator. Agenda = get that there mosque built somewhere else, dammit, so we can save our future shopping corridor ($$$). Gotta follow the 2019 City economic plan after all. Even though the Muslims bought their land in 2014. Hello. These “leaders” need to be investigated.
1. Ordered News press to stop filming after the “leaders” finished talking to not record the section of the meeting in which citizens express their own opinions. Gotta contain any opposition to “the plan.” Freedom of press violation. Against transparency. Red flag.
2. Both Fox News and citizen journalists Guerilla Publishing reported the next day being kicked out. OLD HAM said Fox News was incorrect. Riiight. Then why is it STILL in the article? 1st amendment and state statute violations.
3. David OLD HAM later attempted gaslighting me, after I contacted him to politely express my issues, denying his anti-Catholic screed as just my “perception.” Went on to call us Catholics (which standard traditional history books identify as the first Christian Church) “papists” and still refused an apology even for that. Displayed outright bigotry.
There is a word for that domineering, self-serving level of society, and it rhymes with Farcissist.
These are supposed to be the wise “leaders” in BA representing the activated grassroots opposition to a mosque in BA??? More like people running on low battery who would think culture is going to a museum.
DID THEY EVEN CONSIDER THIS:
If the Council votes No due to their emphasis on infrastructure issues, the Muslim group will just turn around eventually and build somewhere else. And what will OLD HAM and Christi do, keep protesting “infrastructure issues” over each property they buy? lol. Years of chasing the Muslims from one building site after another trying to find "infrastructure loopholes" to stop the build?
This is why the City must first require the group to publicly and permanently disavow any connection to the North American Islamic Trust, or any pro-terrorism organization. And publicly disavow Sharia law in Oklahoma. 1% chance that happens, hence no mosque in BA.
Case closed.
This makes me partly sympathize with the group, for a moment, at least the members who aren’t okay with the formal affiliation with the NAIT, Muslim brotherhood, Hamas, and you know the terrorist network HERE in the US. Imagine what that particular list of reasonable people must think of these civic “leaders” trying to run them out of town because 129th Street only has two lanes, or there are water flow issues.
By the way, all the “infrastructure” issues they listed, civil engineers can solve.
Or because they won’t be generating sales tax. The Senator literally listed that as one of her “top ten” infrastructure objections she wanted the crowd to take notes on (I’m not kidding,she asked them to write it all down). She said there would be too many institutions so close ”not generating sales tax for city government.” Lol. What!? A church, event center, and a mosque all inside one block are too many entities not making $$$ for the city? Lol ok. You must be right because you’re now a senator! Did she forget Christ’s command “do not live by bread alone”? Do we really need more gas stations, McDonald’s, and marijuana dispensaries to cover every square inch of God’s creation?

The Senator was the only person on camera to mention the groups ties to global terrorism, brushing off the issue literally in a fraction of a second. It’s not about that or religion, she said, it’s about IN..FRA..STRU..CTURE. Frankly, that mind set is extremely short-sIn 2022 she voted to let an LGBTQ group have a “Pride Fest” in a city park, with a DRAG SHOW in front of LITTLE CHILDREN because, um, as she told me “we gotta follow the con..sti..tu..tion” duh. Clarence Thomas or any of the other constitutionalists ever on the Supreme Court would not quite agree. What grade did she make in political science? Has she ever studied civics?
Is Senator Christi (R) Anti-Catholic? Just another politician using the sacred office for personal gain?
MY ATTEMPT AT ANSWERS:
I emailed her office 3 times, and left them 3 voicemails. Plus sent her a message to her public FB profile. That is SEVEN attempts for feedback from my elected official. I stressed the urgency of resolving these issues from the Tuesday meeting in light of the city meeting next Monday, 1/12 (NSU-BA, 6 pm, Livestream on city website).
I asked the trustworthy, unbiased Senator if:
She agreed with the positions and appropriateness of the bigoted organizer’s anti-Catholic screed RIGHT IN FRONT of her in the front of the assembly. She had remained silent. The old legal axiom applies “silence gives consent” would apply. I couldn’t see if she was nodding her head.
Will she disavow for local Okie Traditionalist Catholic readers etc public political leaders publicly spreading Anti-Catholicism? Is she against Anti-Catholicism? Is she Anti-Catholic? I reminded her 8% of Okies are Catholics, likely a higher percentage in the city (likely at least 10% of her electorate).
Did she agree with his false statement later that it was a PRIVATE event, when everybody and their dog knew it was a PUBLIC event?
Will she make amends for them impeding the media during the public event? And herself having her state troopers kick out a journalist for insisting on his First Amendment right to free press to record on his cell phone?? For Pete sake, they were there BECAUSE it was a public event, hello, otherwise ironically she would have misappropriated funds for the troopers if it were private, to be investigated by G. Publishing. That dog don’t hunt.

Conclusion:
Edit: based on the totality of facts, until she answers back, I’m seriously considering drawing the below conclusions, but since she answered my email Saturday morning, I’ll wait her response to finalize my conclusion. All she has to do is listen to the documented 1.5 minutes in the video posted above, and ask AI if that event meets the definition of a public event.
- Christi does not seriously care about her Catholic constituency, or answering grievances. She does not care about you, my fellow Catholic Christians.
- At the very least, all facts considered, Christi either has an anti-Catholic bias or she also has an outright anti-Catholic prejudice. I’ll call her out on Monday to publicly apologize for her co-organizer’s bigoted screed against the Church, which he refuses to own up to, or to at least disavow his remarks in that setting. Later I’ll blog if she still blows us off. It reflects on how trustworthy their own agenda is.
- Christi is just another self-serving politician. She does not strictly adhere herself to the Constitution as the highest law (civil) of the land.
- Christi does not understand Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Assembly (for the person she helped kick out of the assembly), or laws against illegal trespassing of citizens from a public, civic assembly.
- Christi and her partners are reportedly now going to be sued by the journalist/community activist Ron Durbin who is an ATTORNEY with deep pockets (she didn’t think that one through). And no I’m not “one of those people with Durbin,” I’ve just recently learned about him.
I look forward to calling out Christi the Enabler of Anti-Catholicism, and her Anti-Catholic bigot crony David OLD HAM at the City meeting next Monday. Will try to be one of the first speakers! Will be wearing a blue hat and carrying a crucifix.
