Traditionalism in the Social and Political Sphere

See below my recent thoughts on Catholic Traditionalism. This apples also to the social and political sphere within the secular realm outside that universal visible structure of the Church Christ founded, Christ being the Creator and Lord over both.

Social or traditionalTraditionalism (not to get hung up on semantics), in its core is a universal Ideal.  It transcends the current conservative-liberal spectrum.  It represents by definition what is timeless, perennial, universal, rooted in the natural order of the Cosmos and universal moral laws (the Natural Law), Western civilization and its roots, as well as the best of the East.

This Ideal can and ought to appeal to everyone along today’s spectrum.  It is a universal force that draws us together to the virtuous mean, the Via Media, the Middle Way, the Golden Mean. where exists that which is truly good, true, and beautiful, those transcendentals that are embedded into everything.

This is why we must fight to restore and preserve the best of our Christian, Western civilization. This is why we must not be silent. When a Catholic Traditionalist fights to defend Catholic Tradition, they are likewise, albeit on a more secondary level, seeking to defend and align they and their family to that Tradition God has also indirectly established by means of culture, Christ being the King not only over the pope and bishops, but over every government and society.

This is why I am in my private life, and through my public writing in the literary genre of the “blog,” an Okie Traditionalist through and through.
