A Blessed Laetare Sunday Today. The TLM at Holy Cross in Wagoner.

Providence directed us to the TLM today out in Wagoner, OK, 30-45 minutes east of T-town, at Holy Cross parish.  Would have made it to SSPX-OKC if I hadn't noticed a potential oil leak yesterday.  Better safe than sorry.  No worries.

So we got up, got ready, had our coffee, said our morning prayers, and headed out the door with our Sunday missals.  Picked up my mom in Broken Arrow on our way to Wagoner, showing up about a half hour before Mass to pray.  Have been praying for a special intention for some time -- please add that to your list of intentions if you will.

The...Ultimate...Sunday Missal.  Yes sir.  IMHO.

Was amazed to see how large the congregation is growing, with many young families with children.  I highly recommend attending the TLM at Holy Cross if it is in your driving radius, for us making sense as it's relatively close to my mom's in east BA.  For us, when we cannot make it to SSPX-OKC.

At any rate, after Mass (the ancient and venerable Roman Rite, you know, the one butchered by the post-conciliar "liturgical reform," yet still preserved today by "a few good men") we headed back to BA, to do a BBQ at Blue Gill Landing park on the Verdigris River, out far east on 71st St., but dang, a sign said it was closed when we got there.

First time seeing that.  So we BBQ'd back at my mom's.  My mom being from Germany, and me half German, we grilled Knackwurst (better than brats if you ask me), an onion in foil/stuffed with a bouillon cube , served with sour kraut, mustard, pickles, and warm, gooey brie cheese.

A great Laetare Sunday meal.  Three more weeks until Easter, this being a a brief reprieve from Lenten penance.

I don't like shopping on Sundays, but we take mom to get groceries best that day for our weekly schedule, she not driving, so at Walmart I got more items for our prepping plan:  more canning salt, canning cans, propane, charcoal, more flashlights, batteries, and 20 gallons of Spring water.

One Day

You don't have to frequent Citizen's Free Press or the likes of Tucker Carlson, like I do, to know what to prepare for, and the need to prep asap.  Even Lord Biden himself, if the media failed to tell you with enough emphasis, has issued warnings of cyber-attacks and food shortages.  The tip of the iceberg.  In addition to the likes of the DHS and American Red Cross issuing advisories to stock up and prepare.

Everything is now packed away in our pantry, I'm resting on my living room perch, my chair, this Sunday evening, blogging, reading about the approaching zombie apocalypse, watching some guy on YT fly an ultralight airplane over mountains in the Philippines, and getting ready for bed and a week of hard work.  Deo gratias.  Have a blessed week, fellow Okie Trads and Beyond.
