Oklahoma City Archbishop Coakley Issues False, Defamatory Statement About St. Michael’s Chapel - SSPX

Read it HERE

First, if the maltreatment of Tulsa Bishop Konderla in this case (click HERE) is any predictor, why trust Coakley or the OKC archdiocese?

His media memo is false, spreading the false rumor circulated by Child Porn Author Kissy Fernandez through his enablers.  The SSPX priests are NOT now considered to “be in schism”per the Decree: click HERE

Only the Decree has canonical, authoritative binding force.  Click HERE.

The ONLY thing that officially and canonically has changed is the official status of the six bishops.   As canon lawyers are pointing out, the side NOTE is NOT part of the decree, and has no force of law or authority.

See Fr Z’s article and Rorate Coeli’s article.  Click HERE   I pointed this out in a respectful voicemail for the archdiocese.

Besides, the six total excommunications (there being ZERO additional excommunications) are currently SUSPENDED per canon law since the Society filed an appeal.

Canon law says if there is a state of necessity, EVEN IF mistaken about it existing, no excommunications occur, and the SSPX many times over in writing claimed a state of necessity.   See canon 1343, sections 4, 7:  HERE.

If they were right, no excommunications.  If they were wrong, no excommunications.  This will be very easy to prove to a Vatican court, unless the court acts like a kangaroo court.

If this is ignored, that is grounds to appeal directly to Pope Leo, WHO IS a canon lawyer.  If he ignores canon law on this, his decision would be malicious and null and void.

Coakley has the duty to publicly correct this big lie, otherwise he lies by omission.

Also, he falsely says SSPX marriages and confessions are now unapproved and therefore invalid.  Yet that statement was only in the Note, again having zero canonical, authoritative force.  As canon lawyers have observed, to reverse a Decree by Pope Francis granting ordinary jurisdiction for marriages and confessions, it would take a Decree directly from Pope Leo, which he hasn’t issued.

Lastly, towards the end of the letter he falsely declares it is now illicit to even merely attend an SSPX Mass, implying doing so means you enter into schism, which is a dishonest scare tactic. And why?

Because the DDF, Kissy, the Decree, the mere commentary Note, ANY Vatican authority, including the pope himself have NOT said this.  Coakley himself says this contrary to the above, and especially the 1983 Code of Canon Law, as officially interpreted by the Ecclesia Dei commission, that one may attend SSPX Masses, that is “any rite of Catholic Mass.”

Ultimately, ironically, Coakley is acting against Pope John Paul II who issued the 1983 Code, and Pope Leo.  Is he His Holiness Pope Coakley the First?!?

Hold fast members of St. Michael’s.  My wife and I continue to be members there supporting the SSPX and it’s doctrinal stand, and will return when my health condition allows it. This goes beyond canonical status.  It is about Keeping the Faith.  I know this community and it is steadfast.

For its members, this goes beyond preference for Latin and chant.  Odds are its membership keeps increasing.

Ironically, this media coverage lets OKC people know St Michaels, the SSPX, the traditional Mass, and Catholic Tradition even exist!  This huge lying media campaign to all the bishops, coming from Kissy himself, is already backfiring, because truth and justice in the end prevails.
