We picked 3 pounds of organic blueberries straight off the vine at Thunderbird Farm in East Broken Arrow this morning around 9 am, before the blazing heat, for some leisurely work. $4/pound is below market. Took straight home to make blueberry pancakes. Excellent family outing for the kids. Save $ on berries. Being out in nature learning about farming being the free entertainment. Open Tues, Thurs, Sat, 7 am to 11 am. There's still plenty on the vine. They also grow asparagus, corn, and pumpkins in the Fall. having a fun, October Fall event where you can pick your own pumpkins. And they sell local grown blueberry jam and honey, which we also bought. Go down east 71st into east BA, 7 miles past county line, you'll see their sign, then hang a right and go the better part of a mile. One of the owners told me about berry farming, the local farmers, and land for sale nearby. Thunderbird Farm, blueberry picking. Good clean fun during these crazy times. LINK
