The term “Catholic blogosphere” includes not only Catholic blogs, but podcasts, YouTube channels, social media comment sections, websites, online radio stations, and the like connected across cyberspace as a like-minded constellation.
Introduction
Traditional Catholic bloggers and podcasters, let us unite! The pettiness and circular firing squad must end.
It’s why many stay offline to maintain their spiritual and mental health. It doesn’t justify conciliar Rome’s truly ongoing reign of terror, or apparent retaliation, but it’s an impediment for the cause of restoration.
Drawing Lines
But lines must be drawn, and are truthfully being drawn. The Taylor Marshall’s, Tim Gordon’s, Eric Sammon’s, and Patrick Coffin’s lack the integrity to be taken seriously. Their vitriol towards the SSPX lately puts them in the permanent boycott category. They are grifters.
Hasta luega.
And Michael Matt ought to simmer down a bit, in my opinion, about his unite the clans schtick, and seeming appeasement of Leo-Prevost to secure future easing of TLM restrictions.
That ship has sailed, Mike. It’s..not..coming..back.
The FSSP is, if you really think about it, now organizationally in schism from the SSPX (see last post), so trad ecumenism didn’t in the end last. The FSSP now clearly is a No going forward to “unite the clans.” They’ve drawn their line in the sand.
Officially it will, going forward, say “Accept everything in Vatican II and the new Mass or remain in ‘schism.’ We’ve been given our orders. Now fall in line.”
Lines have now been clearly drawn between those who at least generally support ABL/SSPX, which means in reality the counter-revolutionary movement of Catholic Tradition explicitly opposed to the conciliar system of modernist errors, and those who decidedly are part of that system for the smells and bells and parish BBQ’s (like the official FSSP or ICK).
If you are a true traditionalist commentator you would be supporting the SSPX right now as they are down. And being kicked while down by their critics and haters from different camps, as if they were chomping at the bit up to July 1st. If you are bashing them right now to score points for your camp, you are to be permanently boycotted.
Support for the SSPX and/or its doctrinal point of view contra the conciliar church establishment is the litmus test right now going forward. It’s not about clinging to their organization. It’s about supporting public opposition to the Ape of the Church.
To help destroy that False Church of the Anti-Christ, and ultimately defeat the Anti-Christ and his growing armies.
All your whining Brian Haldsworth types or Christine Niles types need to be also permanently boycotted. And ignored.
About Trad Inc.
I’ve said it before a year or two ago. Trad Inc. needs a moratorium, to simmer down the obsessions with all things coming out of the Vatican, grifting, and circular firing squads. When it’s your full time livelihood, personality bias tends to wrongly drive the narrative.
It tends to divide the traditional Remnant down to people clinging to their favorite online figures like TM, KH, AS, MV (once upon a time), or MM, that is their particular point of view, into silly splintered camps at odds with each other. That plays out in real life across the same parish hall at coffee and doughnuts after Mass.
The Okie Traditionalist Camp
MY camp is simple. It is simply traditional Catholicism contra modernism, liberalism, the errors of V2 and the NO, and the current modernists in Rome. That practically means my camp is SSPX, but not exclusively.
Think someone like John Vennari (RIP), or Fr. Gruner (RIP), Brian McCall, or Michael Davies. The Angelus or Catholic Family News. And great theologians on the Crisis like Dr. Romano Amerio, who wrote the great Iota Unum.
Compared to those intellectual giants, the likes of Flip Flop TM or Flip Flop Mother Miriam sit on their shoulders. His copy cat Infiltration can best be used now to start up your charcoal in the charcoal chimney this summer to BBQ.
Wait and See is Over
This last year of wait and see with Leo is completely OVER. He IS clearly now Francis 2.0 but worse because he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It is very very deceptive, how his outward conservative appearance and steady, gentle disposition hides his radical, revolutionary agenda, and willingness to actively tolerate heresy while persecuting hundreds of thousands of faithful Catholic families.
We were hoodwinked, me included, into thinking he might be another BXVI or JP2 because he likes Latin and beautiful vestments. I tended to filter the fact that he said on the balcony “we are a synodal church.”
He is worse than Francis. Francis would never have done to the SSPX what Leo just did, or approved. There is no coming back from dropping an unjustified spiritual nuclear bomb on 600,000 + faithful Catholics, whose leadership was begging to meet with you, and repeatedly explaining they merely needed more bishops to ordain and confirm, and in no way were rejecting the authority of the pope.
An Ecclesiastical War
We must admit this is an ecclesiastical WAR. This IS a WAR. THEY are the aggressors starting it, trying to destroy what little is left of the Church since it’s semi-auto-demolition in the1970’s. We are the defenders refusing pacifism. It has always been a War since they imposed on us the NO, but in now a very overt and insidious way with Francis imposing Traditionis Custodes, and now in a nuclear way quasi-excommunicating the entire SSPX movement, by Pachamama-worshipping Leo and Child Porn Author Kissy Fernandez.
The kiddy gloves must come off. You still must not cross a line due to them being ordained and in authority, but we must have no scruples about waging in response a modestly aggressive war of defense. Like lions, not sheep. In defense of the true Faith and Church, or all holy persons and things, and of ourselves.
The best defense is a moderated degree of defensive aggression. Not a mild defensive defensiveness. We online Catholic writers and speakers, lay and priest alike, are called to this WAR to DEFEND the true Church, the true Faith, the true Mass, AND those who truly are traditional Catholics.
Going forward anything that smacks of excessive diplomacy, liberal appeasement, political correctness, or juvenile pettiness is a mere speed bump. You will be put on ignore.
Time to Zoom Back Out
We also need to stop hyper focusing on Leo or the Vatican. That is classic grifter Trad Inc. clickbait to pay the bills, and frankly mind-numbingly boring.
Somebody has to do it, some of the time, and there is a time and place for it, but not..every..single..day. Focus on the Faith itself, and also the big picture of Tradition vs. the conciliar Crisis.
I’d rather read about the new traditional Carmelite convent being built in Florida associated with Bishop Athanasius Schneider, than whether or not Michael Matt and others had a secret dinner with Cardinal Mueller during the conclave to “give Leo a year,” according to Chris Jackson’s recent very, very, very long essay.
The former I’d happily give 15 minutes to read about, and another 15 minutes to independently research. The latter is not much more worthy of our time than glancing at a headline for reference to keep up with the goings-on.
A Line
Imagine a line. We are on the far right. The modernists are on the left. They are trying to either push us off the line through “excommunications” or shunning, or manipulate us to slide to the left until one day we all are singing Glory and Praise music on Sundays, with one day a woman in some capacity officiating behind the altar.
To the far left is the great apostasy and hell, to which the Ape of the Church tries to drag us. To the right is the perennial Catholic Tradition, the ancient Mass of the Church of Rome, of the See of St. Peter, the traditional movement, the SSPX, Archbishop Lefebvre the bishop saint interceding for us, and ultimately heaven.
Our goal is to lead people away from the Ape of the Church across a bridge to the fullness of the Catholic Faith. To defeat the modernists. To send their poisonous theology and plans into the fiery pits of hell. And even to convert the modernists and liberals.
We are fighting to restore universally and exclusively the traditional Mass, and the integrity of the Doctrine of the Faith free of the modernist errors.
The goal cannot be mainly more clicks and views and popularity and stroking the ego, even though stats do help keep score of personal progress. But this traditional Catholic blogosphere isn’t a mere video game.
It is essentially, in the new creative genre of the blog post or podcast, Catholic evangelization, catechesis, apologetics, practical philosophy and theology, to bring people to Christ and His Church, which includes being strictly in accord with Sacred Tradition (divine and ecclesial). As long as that is the primary goal, one can make a living from this, even supplemental income. I personally would like one day to make supplemental income off of The Okie Traditionalist, but I’m also okay if I never do. It doesn’t really enter my mind.
The Most Trusted Commentators Online Going Forward:
Here is my list: the SSPX YT channel and podcast, Pelican Plus, Catholic Family News, Fatima Center, the Remnant, any interview of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, Archbishop Lenga, Anthony Stine (but not too much sensationalist news to avoid despair), Kennedy Hall, Laramie Hirsch, and of course The Okie Traditionalist.
Regarding Modernist Rome
We’ve got the lay of the land. Our insiders will give us the important insider info to help maneuver in real time. We have enough contacts to investigate hardcore. We know well the recent Vatican history and major players. But there is zero human hope of anything substantial or restorative coming from modernist Rome for a long time. Almost certainly until after Leo no longer sits in the chair of St. Peter. For me, this applies as well to the SSPX ever making a deal.
They are coming after us, so as they run across the battle field towards us with spears (Traditionis Custodes, the 2026 “excommunications,” more threats, etc), we must give ourselves 200% non stop to meet their aggression head on, but using the ingenuity of Guerilla fighters and long game tacticians. And the power of the pen.
My Proposed 20 Year Plan
Keep hammering the Vatican modernists and their enablers (like TM is now, and truthfully also Mother Miriam who also flip flopped), keep exposing their most relevant scandals which relate to issues of faith and morals, keep critiquing their erroneous plans with all the tools of the perennial Magisterium, and the Fathers and Doctors of the Church. Keep exposing their anti-Christ, quasi-religious narcissism.
There is a method to play the narcissist. And it isn’t to get into petty squabbles or beg for approval, but to sit back quietly playing 3D chess, and methodically expose them with irony, satire, humor, and wit, which is my method, so their house of cards eventually crashes in plain sight.
Leo
Leo may be an anti-pope, but I cannot say that because only a future pope can judge that. I have my reservations. But there is evidence which we must discuss for the public record to aid future popes about the legitimate question. Same for Framcis-Bergoglio.
Leo should be treated as someone who ACTS like an anti-pope and anti-Christ figure, as having zero trustworthiness. I don’t say you can’t regard him as an anti-pope, in the line of how ABL thought about sedevacantism, since there is a strong argument, but I strongly advise against it to avoid a true schismatic and proud spirit.
Leo certainly has skeletons in the closet, some of which the Church has a right to know about, especially as he should keep weaponizing Vatican offices against faithful Catholics, and against Catholic Tradition, as he did with the DDF towards the SSPX. And five times more for Kissy.
This War they bring to our families is dirty, and we can’t fight back being nice and politically correct.
More deep dives are in order frankly about Leo’s sexuality, and Kissy’s, considering the frequency of homosexuality among the clergy, issues raised about his relationship with his personal secretary, coverups for perverts, how he apparently, ruthlessly got a very conservative canon lawyer priest critic laicized (see LifeSiteNews interview with him this week), the one who represented the case of the three girls accusing a priest of sexual abuse who was close friends with Prevost, and any hidden heretical beliefs or practices. Like his past Pachamama worship.
Same for the hard core Francis-Church prelates like Perolin, Cupich, or anyone connected to the St. Gallen Mafia. There is nothing more effective in the task of exposing the modernist Rot in the Church, to the world, than exposing more ongoing mass clerical abuse and coverup which I expect still continues.
Re the SSPX
Pro SSPX commenters, hit hard about the ongoing canonical mess until everyone and their dog knows that only the Decree has legal force, only for the six bishops. And even that is suspended awaiting trial, canon 1343, sections 4/7 clearly indicating no excommunications occurred. For anyone.
Memorize that, and tell everyone. Canon # 1343, sections 4/7. Canon # 1343, sections 4/7. Canon # 1343, sections 4/7. Have your homeschooled children memorize and explain it for a religion class assignment.
There is NO document with ANY legal force to say the priests or laity are in schism, or must present themselves to this new insidious process of “reconciliation” with their local bishop, or that you now can’t attend SSPX Masses, or that their confessions and marriages are now invalid.
Ironically, even hypothetically if the ordinary jurisdiction given by Francis for confessions and marriages were to be revoked by Leo, which canonically would be required, if the local bishop falsely deems you and everyone in your chapel excommunicated, and you aren’t, and NEVER were actually legally decreed as such (the note, and 1996 note, having zero legal force), then that’s an official barrier to going to an approved confession or being married under the modernist bishop, since excommunication bars from receiving the sacraments. Therefore ironically canon law still grants supplied jurisdiction for this to the SSPX.
Most anyone taking serious, honest interest in the SSPX will see the facts and be able morally to attend, and only a tiny few would leave since they never learned the facts.
Using Satire and Irony
Memes will be our vehicle more than ever delivering our message. Which is why I often use images or videos like memes to make the subtle point with humor or creativity.
Over the next 20 years Tradition will keep multiplying, but soon enough mainly outside of ordinary jurisdiction, but with a constant War against us by the modernist Vatican and modernist bishops. At the same time we will see the modernist ship sink with the retiring or death of the baby boomer modernist priests. It is already starting to sink with a drastic reduction in priests and newly ordained priests, and the mass closing of churches.
The younger priests and seminarians who tend to be traditional-minded will keep learning about Tradition especially online. From us!!! And then it’s a statistical fact they will eventually become the new episcopacy.
And then God willing one of them is elected pope and restoration begins from the top down.
All of this time corresponding with the period World War III and the Great Chastisement. Followed by an Era of Peace and seeing the Church restored! I pray I live to see that day, and to enjoy that period.
This might extend past 20 years, but there’s a good chance not.
