Calling all local Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant readers of the Okie Traditionalist—all Christians—especially those who live in or near the greater Tulsa area, especially those who live in or near Tulsa’s suburb of Broken Arrow, my childhood home, the 3rd largest city in the Sooner state. The city council is having its final meeting to decide this issue on January 12th at 6:00 p.m. at North Eastern State University in Broken Arrow. There will be too many people to fit into the City Hall Council Chamber on Main Street.

They are deciding if inherently, doctrinally militant, anti-Christian Muslims (all branches are, in essence, to one degree or another) should be allowed to build a Mosque/Islamic center/Islamic shopping outlet in Broken Arrow.
However, what I believe is a central factor, the Elephant in the Room as it were, which seems to be not yet discussed much by others, is that this is in RURAL Broken Arrow, exactly ADJACENT to a long time pillar of the Broken Arrow community — the pristine Walnut Grove Christian Church campus. It includes Walnut Grove’s radio station for Oasis Radio popular in the area for daily Gospel music, which I find enjoyable and edifying.

Listening to their last city meeting posted online, this issue doesn’t seem yet to be something emphasized or seriously considered, but instead zoning issues like traffic flow and septic tank functionality. Or clashes between conservative Christians and leftists over how this would affect the fabric of religious culture throughout Broken Arrow. One side argued for the public common good of the largely Christian community; the other side defended Muslim’s civic rights to religious liberty and Islam as a “religion of peace” (which IT IS NOT).
What I want to emphasize is that part of BA, and BA itself, is surrounded in all directions by a) rural land, b) some of which is in a comparably suitable location, c) some of which is objectively purchase-able d) and some of which is surely of a comparable price. I’m confident a realtor, following those criteria, could have found this, and can still find that for them.
THIS PRECISE LOCATION IS PART OF THE PROBLEM, HELLO MY FELLOW OKIES:
Instead they are trying to plant themselves on a 15 acre property which is adjacent to—property lines absolutely touching —a pre-existing , very conservative Christian church on a comparable size property, that is strictly Bible-believing and logically therefore very anti-Islam. The scriptures and doctrines of each group are literally diametrically opposed to one another, such that one group, the Christians, would permanently be put on the defensive from the Islamic group, and NOT the other way around.
In the Christian church just to the south is taught the Bible, in which Christ teaches the congregants to forgive and love our enemies, including those who persecute you for your Christian faith, to maintain peace. Yet just a short stroll away to the north would be, if approved, a Muslim mosque whose prophet Mohammad and Koran—in contrast—teaches its congregation to deal with opponents to their religion, first and foremost Christians, with anger, aggression, violence, and murder.
If that doesn’t create a permanently unsafe environment, I don’t know what does.
From the traditional Christian view—to use hyperbole to make the point—it might as well be a Church of Satan, there being plenty of “nice” Satanists who volunteer in food pantries and preach a humanism that rejects submission to the Christian God. This is because Islam is ALSO inherently and militantly anti-Christianity, and anti-Christian in its Koran.
It promotes throughout its pages hatred towards Christianity, the murder of Christians, violence as a means of evangelization, the beating and oppression of women, and even pedophilia. It actually discusses circumstances in which an adult man can have sex with children, both girls AND boys, after and BEFORE the age of puberty. Let that sink in for a moment...Naturally, allowing this mosque in this location, with its members accepting the Koran with all of those teachings, would create a permanent environment with serious long term safety issues, emotional and physical.
And, they’d need to call in a Catholic exorcist to exorcise their Christian property from the demons unleashed by this build.
THIS VIOLATES THE ACTUAL BA CITY ZONING ORDINANCE!!

I haven’t heard this addressed yet, but it is established LAW in the City of Broken Arrow, in the first part of the Code of zoning ordinances, that one primary goal of zoning law, in deciding what can be built and WHERE, is to preserve PUBLIC SAFETY.
In addition, the first section goes on to list a related purpose of the Code being to “Promote a balanced supply of…institutional…land uses that is compatible with adjacent land uses “ (Section 1-1-3, par. E).
Key phrase: “THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH ADJACENT LAND USES.” In other words, whatever might be built right next to Walnut Grove Church MUST BE COMPATIBLE WITH ITS USE. And per the Zoning Code’s very introduction, that would eliminate anything that goes against PUBLIC SAFETY.
That is the LAW.
The City rightfully would not allow one barber shop to be built absolutely adjacent to another barber shop, a Planned Parenthood absolutely adjacent to a pro-life outreach (or vice versa), or in this case this mosque to be built right next to say a synagogue. That would be a ticking time bomb, a disaster waiting to happen. If Walnut Grove church were instead a Jewish synagogue, building a mosque absolutely adjacent to it obviously should not and would not be allowed, for the same reasons. The local government here would be accused of anti-semitism and endangering Jews if it allowed that scenario.
The two institutions, a very conservative Christian church and a Muslim mosque, absolutely adjacent to one another are NOT “compatible.” The LAW does not allow this. If the Council acquiesces and votes in fear YES, to avoid a lawsuit from the ACLU etc, they also risk a class action lawsuit from their constituency, supported by State Congressmen, and being voted out in the next election.
There is a planned meeting with one such State Senator Gillespie (who once talked to me on the phone for an hour when on the BA Council, about the City allowing a Drag Queen show in front of children on city property) this Tuesday at 6 pm (LINK), near the site, to strategize a game plan. I won’t come to that one, but my suggestion would be to a) hire expert constitutional lawyers, b) academic experts on the dangers of Islam in America, c) hire private investigators to investigate, d) create a final report, e) get a court injunction (from the state or federal Supreme Court if necessary) to stop the permit to build, and then f) prepare to sue if necessary on behalf of Christian Oklahomans and Walnut Grove IF the BA City Council votes YES. This would create an unsafe environment for local Christians, contrary to City Code 1-1-3, E, endangering their own religious liberties. The members of Walnut Grove have a civil, constitutional right, per the 1st Amendment, to peacefully worship Jesus Christ in their church without the city council creating/enabling a permanently dangerous environment.
This story also confirms the pattern across the nation and the West of weak, politically correct, woke government officials, who might even otherwise identify with conservatism or constitutionalism, controlled by anti-Christian Leftists, violating the civil rights of conservative evangelical Christians (and traditional Catholics).
Building a mosque and Islamic center at this precise site would be AGAINST THE LAW, and if approved by the Mayor and City Counsel, then ironically not only would they be breaking the City’s own laws in the name of Political Correctness (and fear of lawsuits from leftists like the ACLU), they would be creating a permanently unsafe environment.
There is a principle of logic and law that says “the facts speak for themselves.” Lay out all the facts, connect the dots, and use good old-fashioned common sense.
And my common sense conclusion is this:
ONE CENTRAL INHERENT REASON TO BUILD THE MOSQUE IN THIS PRECISE LOCATION IS AS A PERMANENT PUBLIC ACT OF RELIGIOUS AGGRESSION SHOWCASING THE GOAL OF MILITANTLY CONVERTING ALL AMERICANS TO ISLAM, AND THEREFORE DESTROYING AND REPLACING OUR WESTERN CULTURE WITH AN ISLAMIC CULTURE, IF YOU CAN IMAGINE THAT.
This is not only against this Christian church, Walnut Grove, and local, nearby Christians, but against Our Divine Savior, Jesus Christ, as the Incarnate God-Man Himself, and the Christian Faith He divinely established on Earth.

This conclusion raises a permanent major red flag, a bad Omen. It predicts the likelihood of future acts of cultural jihad from this group in our community, and possibly even one day physical jihad by its most indoctrinated, disturbed members.
This is not long term a merely remote chance, or an absolute certainty,, but rather LIKELY. In due time. This defines the elusive but very real nature of the ongoing immediate threat, being long term and uncertain when incidents will occur, but knowing they will LIKELY occur.
THAT itself is the very nature of the ongoing injury, a permanent state of threat, from the other side of the property line, regardless of when incidents will occur. THAT itself would already cause a permanent psychological and spiritual injury.
We are after all already practically at war with Muslim nations in the Middle East, in support of Israel (I oppose this military support) and on the brink of war (and world war) with Iran and its allies (Russia). (This is thanks in part, truth be told, to Trump somewhat going back on his non-interventionist platform he ran on a year ago, which I must admit is the truth having been and remaining one of his greatest supporters since he and Melania came down the escalator in 2015).
A VERY REAL THREAT:
A few years back, an indoctrinated Muslim in the Oklahoma City area, entered a public building, grabbed a Christian worker by their hair, took a ten inch knife, and not only slit their throat, he completely beheaded them, decapitated them, the head removed completely from the body, which is an Islamic tradition also promoted in the Koran. He had recently converted to Islam, attending the local mosque in OKC, and per a later FBI investigation had developed an obsession with the Islamic tradition of beheading.
The Starbuck-carrying urbanite soccer mom leftists who take their kids to visit mosques and Pride Parades don’t want to talk about this. Neither do effeminate men who vote for abortion.
CONCLUSION:
This mosque should not be SOCIALLY welcomed, only perhaps LEGALLY and passively tolerated in another, safe, remote location, if at all. Especially after they attempted to build in this location, showing untrustworthiness and a bad, reckless mindset going forward.
It should be permanently monitored for potential safety issues. Monitor for potential terrorist cells, and if they adopt in their center a Sharia law “family court” which is common in the US, which violates the dignity of marriage, women, and children, and American law. The Oklahoma legislature voted to outlaw the use of Sharia law in civil courts, but a Clinton-appointed judge overturned it.
And this mosque SHOULD NOT be allowed by the local government to be built at THIS location, BECAUSE doing so violates the civic religious liberties and rights to peace and security of Walnut Grove Christian church members, all Christian visitors who periodically attend their revivals and other events (they like to sing!), and other Christians living nearby driving by witnessing this daily, permanent in-your-face affront to Walnut Grove and the surrounding largely Christian community.

Just a Matter of Time in BA
COME ON OUT:
I plan to be there so early to hopefully be one of the first speakers. Maybe the first. Even if I’m in a lot of pain, unless symptoms are too bad. Even so I’d try to push through it. I will be wearing a blue hat and holding up a crucifix. Come on out. Make it a family event. This kind of things is an important part of a child’s education. Then another night watch the city meeting the city later posts on Youtube, over popcorn. Call it your evening leisure. Meet up with Okie Trad, or give some moral support when I step up to the podium. Bring a sign. Be a prayerful witness to the one true God, the Holy Trinity, to the social kingship of Christ over every government and society. The current clergymen are, generally, I am sad to say, not doing this, which they should be doing. So it presently largely falls on the shoulders of the laity during this time to publicly defend the Faith and Christendom. Everywhere and always.
I’d much rather sit back and clap at pastor’s giving speeches before the City Council, but I doubt they will speak out, or that many will join the protest. And I’m compelled to not be silent.
I would argue Broken Arrow, Oklahoma is one of the most conservative and Christian places, relatively speaking, in the USA, and the world. Relatively speaking. Hence the urgency of this meeting. I think the state and nation are watching. Surely others in the world are also watching.
The pen is mightier than the sword. The divine truth of Christ, and the faith of a mustard seed, will stop and destroy all the diabolical lies spread by Islam, but only with our help. Please spread the word.
Let the BA Mayor and City Manager (respectfully) Know What You THINK! Remind them about the Zoning Ordinance 1-1-3, par. E which requires a potentially newly built institution TO BE “COMPATIBLE” WITH AN ALREADY ESTABLISHED INSTITUTION JUST “ADJACENT” TO IT!
