Just some more off the cuff musings on a Saturday.
I read Donald Jr. is calling for an end to the boycott of Bud Light for going woke on Transsexuals. He says Budweiser is conservative. Well that may be true, or not, but the Trump’s are ok with LGBTQism. Yet, it’s hard now to boycott a corporation for going woke on a liberal issue since most large corporations already are. Busch Lite being my go-to beer since it’s low carb, cheap, and to me tastes great, I’ll still be boycotting any Budweiser or Busch products for a while.
A journalist has busted the Zelensky regime giving a detailed report of 400 million of the US war package sent to Ukraine being skimmed off the top by Zelensky and his generals. This following the leaked secret Pentagon papers detailing how Ukraine is losing and can’t win the war. Facts we already knew. Yet the West just keeps shamelessly sending $$$ into Ukraine like none of that matters. And people still obliviously keep hanging their Ukraine flag from their front porch.
Some experts are predicting Russia wins in the next few months, after the mud fields dry up, but the fact the US most of all wants this war to ultimately dismantle Russia, all events seem to predict WWIII soon. Nobody wants a world war, except one group, and that is a circle of Western elites especially in D.C. funding this. They are fighting for their wealth and power.
Being accustomed to a higher fat, higher protein, lower carb way of eating the past several years, it takes adjustment to switch to a low fat diet, and also low acid/low spice, to nurse my peptic ulcer condition I’m overcoming.
I’ve gotten reflux in the past, so I know the typical triggers, but it’s been a learning curve discovering the finer details. For example, brown rice triggers acid less than white rice, Alfredo sauce is a good alternative to tomato pizza sauce when you get the lower fat kind, or the two lowest acid alcoholic beverages are Samuel Adams beer and tequila. Though I’m avoiding anything with ethanol right now. Did enjoy an Alfredo, mushroom, and spinach pizza. Forgot that fat free mozzarella actually tastes pretty good.
I also discovered something about salmon. In the past we ate quite a bit of wild caught salmon but the price per pound has gotten too high. Farm raised salmon is ok, but you can’t be sure it is chemical free and has a good ratio of the omega-3’s. But you can buy wild caught pink salmon in can for a little more than $3/pound chemical-free with the same ideal profile of omega-3’s. It’s not nearly as tasty, but you can add it to casseroles or add flavor.
