My Thoughts on Trump Indictment

Today is simultaneously a sad day, and a cause to celebrate.  Charity wishes no evil, so we lament this political persecution of Trump.  But at the same time, blessed are the persecuted for Christ’s sake, and Trump’s stance for Christian morality in many respects at least, for all of us Christians, and for a more Christian political order, is for the sake of Christ.  Trump is under attack for the Truths he is fighting for, and we are under attack in so far as Trump represents the People, contrary to the establishment elites in D.C.

So this is a glorious battle. A time to rejoice that Trump is fighting the good fight.  That he will fight back.  This battle has just begun.  Next Tuesday Trump turns himself in.  Wait for the mugshot, pics and videos of him entering the DA office, if they put him in an orange jumpsuit, and we get the pic, all the better.

In a battle, you fight back.  The Trumpers in the House will fight back in the weeks ahead.  Those behind the political persecution will be exposed and investigated.

This is the Elites vs. the People.  Honestly, I don’t expect Trump to still win in 2024.  I expect the Leftists to use every bit of corruption they have to steal again the next election.

But it still warms the heart to imagine Trump prevailing even in the oddest of circumstances.  Imagine he is in prison still running for president, rallying the MAGA movement.  They making a political martyr out of him.  Imagine he is elected from prison, and runs the country from a 6 x 8 cell.

None of this may happen, but it’s possible that a) he is found guilty and imprisoned, b) but still wins the nomination, c) and is elected from prison.

Part of me feels demoralized by this psychologically, but only up to a certain point, and then the higher level spiritual side kicks in.  In the end the Truth will prevail.  We can take joy in the battle for that Truth knowing the ultimate outcome from the eyes of God.
