The Catholic neocons have been trying for decades to debunk the traditionalist critique of the Vatican II/New Mass Crisis in the Church. Their state of denial, reducing Tradition down to a sentimental preference at best, or not all that important compared to a minimalist orthodoxy of pro-life and Marian teachings at worst, are a causal part of the Crisis.
Unfortunately, some of these anti-Trads end up joining approved TLM parishes, spreading their false ideology. The approved TLM groups need to wake up to this trend. Vatican II and the liturgical reform in themselves contain errors against our Faith. They are the main cause of the current Crisis. It is dangerous to accept these errors, and in turn, turn on those who oppose these errors.
And the dynamic almost always plays out across diocesan Traddom, anyone supporting the SSPX and their theological conclusions are deemed not only rebellious schismatic troublemakers, but nutty weirdos stigmatized as on the margins of the community. When odds are high their points have been made at most by means of quiet whispers in the church parking lot.
Most trads don’t explicitly commit this level of anti-trad, circular firing squad bigotry, but the current of stigmatization of people, and more importantly traditionalist Ideas, is definitely palpable and condemnable as itself causing division.
Trads in approved TLM parishes need to do the basic study of: Vatican II, the Novus Ordo reforms, the false form of post-conciliar government of the Church, and the entire Regime of Novelty built upon the errors of the Council and liturgical reform.
If not, Stockholm syndrome will eventually do us in, and the conciliarists will eventually mutilate our traditional apostolates. The new Motu Proprio might be a dead letter in certain dioceses, but not in the Vatican hell bent on destroying the Remnant and Catholic Tradition. The next pope will almost certainly be a Francis II. If you’re anti-SSPX, and anti-SSPX supporters, I mean you good will, but you need to put in the study time and stop shooting at fellow Catholics in the same trench as you. This only contributes to the Crisis, not helping to end it. Fair enough?
