When you really adhere to and live in accord with Truth you are in the center of everything. You are the real leaders and "aristocrats," i.e. "men of wisdom and virtue," vs. oligarchs who rule mainly from wealth and power.
Whether at the center of the Church or secular society. If we live in accord with the Truth—that is the Truths of God, Christ, the Church, Sacred Tradition, Western civilization—IF we really do, then we are treated by most people as being on the outer margins of everything.
Yet appearance is not reality. Appearing to be on the outer margins is not in reality being on the outer margins.
It’s a “positive paradox.” The more we reject the Errors of our time, the more we seem to be outliers and “losers” according to the secularist, narcissistic, and materialistic metric of success that dominates everything today, yet the more we are leaven in the bread, salt of the Earth, the more like Christ we affect real restoration and preservation of the “good, true, and beautiful” in every aspect of our current world.
That is, the more we adhere to, and conform ourselves to, divine Truth in everything. Regardless of what anybody thinks, except God.
