1. Focus on life, not all things Cooovid, or FrancisChurch. Fall temps help calm the sympathetic nervous system shocked by the crazy headlines, after all.
2. Greek festival —> Tulsa State Fair —> Shakespeare Festival in St. Mary’s —> Oktoberfest —> Christ the King Festival in St. Mary’s. Time to normalize, I think.
3. Hike Turkey Mountain x 1, hike Red Bud Valley x 2, camp at Robber’s Cave, early Saturday morning outing to Clear Creek abbey at least one Saturday, trout fishing at Marvel trout camp x 2, deer hunt near Skiatook lake, backyard fires, smoke meat and fish. Hmm, might try to smoke cheese too. Biden can’t ban me from Mother Nature.
4. Some kind of vacation in November. We’re still mulling it over. Maybe a few days in the Ozarks, and then a few days in St. Louis…if my mom is wiling to watch our two dogs that long—one being a new German shepherd puppy named Lizzy (!).
By the way, happy first day of Fall. May all things Fall bring you relief from the summer heat (and evolving apocalyptic headlines). There’s nothing like sitting around a fire in the Fall enjoying cool, crisp weather, a whiskey, and a cigar, while contemplating the inner nature of things. Yessir.
