Bishop Konderla learned recently the TLM which is good. But it’s not his style I’m told; he’s being “pastoral.” He’s still letting Holy Cross have a TLM every other Sunday after one year; the other two Sundays not currently allowed for some unstated reason.
The TLM-offering priests serving Holy Cross and SSPP are being transferred, with July priest transfers. The SSPP modernist pastor Fr. Knipe, known for his sermons railing against Tradition and the traditionalists, and depriving the trads of the sacrament of Confession, is being transferred, thanks be to God. The very Tradition-minded youngish Fr. Donovan will be pastor of SSPP making the TLM central to parish life; he’ll oversee two new priests at SSPP sharing turns saying the TLM in Wagoner. But the New religion still exists at SSPP, as it does in every Novus Ordo rite parish. Because the Novus Ordo is the liturgical rite of the New religion.
Clear Creek is still for now allowed the Traditional rite 1962 missal (aka the Catholic Mass of the Roman Rite); time will tell if/when the modernists in control of the Congregation for Divine Liturgy make them say the Novus Ordo in Latin, as well as other Ecclesia Dei groups. And if they would comply.
Re the FSSP parish, their priests assured the Bishop they fully accept VII and the liturgical reform, which cannot be fully accepted because of their doctrinal errors, keeping themselves and their congregation yet still both in the traditional Church, but also the other foot in the Church of Anti-Christ, objectively speaking.
The CMRI chapel up near Claremore has a weekly priest all the way from Nebraska, God bless him, but the CMRI is hard core sedevacantist which is schismatic.
A petition is being drawn up to ask the SSPX back to the Tulsa diocese to re-start the 47 year old Tulsa mission. Time will tell. Maybe it happens; maybe it doesn’t.
We are surrounded everywhere by the false Church made in man’s own image, a false Church to be avoided, even if that brands you a schismatic or a weirdo by others.
The putative pope and our bishop should allow TLM’s throughout this diocese, but in reality it’s quarantined to a tiny number of locations, in comparison to the total # of parishes, far removed geographically from most Catholics within diocesan boundaries, but whatever’s, city dwellers have their Mass in Latin nearby, so people down in Durant, for example, will just have to pay $4.50 a gallon, to drive the 328 mile round trip to Tulsa. That'd be around $60/week extra for gas to attend the true Roman rite, graciously allowed in a few locations, or a mere $3,120/year more out of the family budget just for that. But no biggie.
Konderla isn’t going to allow the TLM in other parochial churches, except the ones designated for now, following the new invalid Motu Proprio suppressing the TLM, written by Satan himself, and the ensuing "Guidelines" which dictate the removal of the TLM from all parish churches, even those for now allowed. And when the upcoming Francis II regime eventually makes him shut down all local 1962 TLM’s, he’ll obey, and if you want to preserve the integral practice of the Faith, you’ll have to make the 4 hour round trip drive to SSPX OKC. Unless you brand them schismatic weirdos. It’s just a matter of time, barring some miracle after WW3 is over.
Another update will be forthcoming by yours truly down the line when Francis-Church drops the hammer down once again on our local Church. So be it, we have the rosary and some access to the sacraments during this dark eclipse of the Church and the world. Is what it is. This isn’t about Latin or smells and bells, but upholding the Doctrine of the Faith in the practice of our religion. God will provide. Life goes on. That’s all I have to say about that (for now).
