The First Tulsa Patriot Rally for World Peace today was a smashing hit. A motivated group gathered at the corner of 21st and Utica for a couple hours holding American flags and patriotic signs protesting the US/NATO countries provoking another world war with Russia (and its allies) over Ukraine.
I’m guesstimating with a lot of traffic, upwards of a couple thousand cars passed through the busy intersection. While many acted indifferent, and a few impassioned people gave the middle finger or shouted out angry words, there were many positive honks and thumbs up supporting peace.
The sign that seemed to draw the most positive responses said “Call Congress. Say Peace, not War.”
As The Situation unfolds in months ahead, the plan is this will be repeated in other parts of the city, such as at 51st and Yale, or 71st and Memorial. And you will again be invited.
Fun time today, doing an act of patriotism. While I hate modern Americanism and our unjust military empire (700+ military bases dominating the globe), I love our constitutional liberties, the land, the people, and our traditional American heritage. A heritage that includes peaceful protest of government tyranny.
