The word is that conciliar Rome is about to shove TC up the back sides of the Ecclesia Dei communities: FSSP, ICKSP, etc next month, as their Lenten penance for being "backward sentimentalists in rebellion against the Church."
Whereas Trads are actually in rebellion against the schismatic Conciliar Church, founded upon the heretical errors of Vatican II and the Novus Ordo Missae.
Most FSSP, etc priests understand this on some level, and deep down don't want to, nor will most of them, conform to this New Religion.
Most WILL NOT start saying the Novus Ordo, or embrace the conciliar style of the priesthood. It isn't what they signed up for.
But unfortunately, my gut tells me most are not presently poised to defect and go SSPX or independent, when the hammer comes down on them. Either a) you conform, b) run away, c) quit.
The sorrowful reality is, I believe, most FSSP, etc priests will end up quitting the active priesthood. Maybe they will continue to say Mass in private, and get secular jobs, not marrying, waiting for a future pontificate to restore things. But they know that would be unlikely, since 99% chance the next guy will be Francis II, and then Francis III, and so on. There is no light at the end of the tunnel any time soon, for many years to come. And these good priests know that.
But Fathers, if you had the balls to embrace Catholicism against this anti-Christian culture, to embrace celibacy and give up career and family, to leave behind your family, all essentially carrying out your baptismal and confirmation promises, and the lifetime commitment you made to the priesthood when you were ordained, then for the love of God pray for fortitude and do not acquiesce. Do whatever you need to do soon to take the courageous, narrow path, or else you're either going to end up an effeminate priest saying an effeminate version of the Mass, or you're going to end up drifting away into the shadows.
But this cannot happen. The Remnant is kept alive by traditional priests, without which there is no traditional Mass or traditional sacraments.
Instead ready yourself for suspensions a la the trad priests of the 1970's and 1980's who were forced into "independent status."
Action Items:
1. Go on a retreat with the SSPX, for priests discerning how to uncompromisingly be faithful to Tradition. Ask to be a friend of the SSPX for their continual support. Consider joining, or becoming an affiliate priest.
2. Once the hammer comes down on you, eat a steak, take a shot of T, say an extra rosary for fortitude, whatever you need to do, and simply tell the authorities NO.
3. Then pack your bags and find a home to go to temporarily to live, say Mass, and join Mass circuits of independent house chapels.
4. Start a crowdfunding campaign to buy a house/rectory in the country outside a city of your choice, and to build on that property your own chapel.
5. Start a website, Facebook group, and Youtube channel broadcasting daily Mass, sermons, and conferences on the Crisis.
6. Buy or build that house + chapel. Get a part-time job, online, to support yourself. In time your patreon followers online will pay your bills so you can focus on the Mass, prayer, study, your parish, and Mass circuit.
7. Enjoy the peace and quiet of not being under the constant pressure of the Conciliar Church to conform and compromise. You will be in perfect legal unity with the Church. Your ministry and sacraments also perfectly valid and licit.
If the hundreds of Ecclesia Dei trad priests took this approach, not to mention the thousands of diocesan trad priests, we would have a freshly new phase of the Traditional Catholic movement, in addition to the SSPX. Imagine dozens or even hundreds of these country independent chapels near the city and chancery, around the world.
Let's do this.
